Vera Bradley set to Hit the Greens and Courts
Fort Wayne, Indiana (May 29, 2012) — Established in 1994, the Vera Bradley Classic has raised nearly $8.2 million to help benefit breast cancer research, and the 19th annual amateur women's golf and tennis charity tournament will be June 1-4.
The charity tournament is the largest all-women amateur golf and tennis charity event in the country, and it raised $945,185 last year, according to the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer's website, www.verabradley.org.
This year, the classic has expanded from Fort Wayne to Charlotte, N.C., for the first time. The Charlotte Classic will team up with Vera Bradley this October, and proceeds will continue to benefit the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer.
