Turn the Town Pink 2012

Fort Wayne, Indiana — We turned the town pink with nearly nearly 10,000 ribbons tied throughout downtown Fort Wayne and area neighborhoods to kick off our annual Turn the Town Pink campaign, Friday, May 11.

Turn the Town Pink 2012
Each ribbon represents a loved one.
Each ribbon carries the name of a loved one and makes a heartfelt statement of dedication to the cause.

Survivors, volunteers, friends and supporters came out to help hang ribbons and show their support. The Fort Wayne TinCaps, Johnny Appleseed and Miss Fort Wayne joined, too. Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry also delivered his annual proclamation in honor of the Foundation.

Last Friday, May 18, local band Sierra Shame rocked it out at a special free concert at Jefferson Pointe to benefit the Foundation.

This week, the Fort Wayne TinCaps will "turn the park pink" at their game on Saturday, May 26. The team will auction their pink jerseys. Foundation apparel will be on sale, and breast cancer survivors will receive gifts as well. (For tickets, visit tincaps.com.)

Join us in turning the town "pink"!
