Huntington University Wins Pink Out Game
Huntington, Indiana (February 22, 2010) — It was a special day at the Merillat Complex as the Huntington College Foresters' hosted their second annual Pink Out event. They not only won, they also raised a total of $2,000 to benefit the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer.
Not only did the NAIA 18th-ranked Foresters (19-7, 10-4) down the visiting Spring Arbor Cougars (4-22, 2-13) 77-57, more importantly they raised a total of $2,000 to benefit the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer. As part of the Pink Out festivities, thirty-six breast cancer survivors were honored during a half-time ceremony with each receiving a coin purse from the Vera Bradley Foundation.
