Be Sweet, Give Back!
Fort Wayne, Indiana (October 12, 2009) — Now giving is twice is sweet! Through December 31, Corso’s Cookies will contribute 20% of each sale of a special Hope Garden Cookie Bouquet designed after Vera Bradley’s breast cancer awareness design.
Corso’s Cookies was founded by Tina Corso who as a child growing up, loved baking cookies. She also loved to draw and paint. Being a smart cookie, Tina used her twin passions of baking and art to create uniquely cool, hand-decorated cookies.
Today, Corso's Cookies is made up of many talented bakers, artists and gift designers, producing hand-made and decorated shortbread cookies and cookie bouquets, sold by retailers nationwide.
Corso’s first worked with Vera Bradley when they were contacted to create cookies inspired by Vera Bradley’s fabrics to be used in a photoshoot. Tina was so inspired by the beautiful fabrics that she took it upon herself to learn more about Vera Bradley. She found several parallels between Vera Bradley and her own company. Owned and inspired by creative women, both companies have enjoyed incredible growth because of their creative concepts and commitment to quality. Most importantly both companies have a passion for funding breast cancer research.
The Vera Bradley Foundation is doing its part to eradicate breast cancer by raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research. Celebrating our 10th year of raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research, we recently fulfilled our $10 million pledge to the Vera Bradley Breast Cancer Research Center and Indiana University Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis.
The Hope Garden Cookie Bouquet will be on display in Vera Bradley Stores the week of October 16, kick-starting Foundation Day. To order a Hope Garden Cookie Bouquet and support the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer, please visit corsoscookies.com.
Giving never felt (and tasted!) so good.
