More than 300 Women Celebrate National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Fort Wayne, Indiana (September 13, 2006) — To kick off National Breast Cancer Awareness month, more than 300 women are expected to attend a sneak peak of the Spring 2007 Vera Bradley line and support breast cancer research at the same time.
The third annual Tickled Pink Toast & Tour on October 6th is sure to be the ultimate girls’ night out; held at Vera Bradley’s corporate headquarters, it will include hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, a silent auction, and informal tours of the Vera Bradley facilities. Special guests Dr. Linda Malkas, Vera Bradley chair in oncology at Indiana University Cancer Center and both Vera Bradley co-founders, Barbara Bradley Baekgaard and Patricia R. Miller will all be in attendance.
“Each year, Tickled Pink exceeds our expectations.” said Catherine Hill, Vera Bradley foundation development director. “So many women look forward to this event because it offers them the opportunity to reconnect with their friends while giving to a good cause at the same time.”
Tickets are available for $60, and are expected to sell-out. For tickets or information, visit verabradley.org or call Vera Bradley at (260) 482-4673. All proceeds benefit the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer.
Each attendee will receive an exclusive gift in the new 2007 breast cancer awareness fabric.
