Vera Bradley employee makes a personal pink connection
Fort Wayne, Indiana (May 9, 2008) — If you take a close look at the pretty pink ribbons currently dotting downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana, you’ll notice a name. Behind each name there is a woman, a friend, a family and more over—a story. For some Vera Bradley employees the Foundation's Turn the Town Pink campaign holds an extra-special place in their hearts.
“I’ve participated in hanging ribbons for the last three years, and have also donated ribbons,” said Liz Money, a Vera Bradley employee. This year however Money had a personal reason for being there: “My aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer and is now a survivor. Of the 1,200 ribbons we tied today I actually ended up getting hers. It was so exciting!”
That’s certainly reason to celebrate!
